A large house to gather

Seven bedrooms, up to 16 guests, a private salt-water pool and a very large garden — the whole villa, by the sea in La Ciotat.

The heart of the house

This is where I love to gather with you: among the books, around the big table, a coffee in hand.

The library

The library

My favourite room: thousands of books run along the walls, an orange sofa, the wrought-iron staircase and the gilded cherub. A place to read, daydream and put the world to rights.

The lounge

The lounge

Beneath the woven reed ceiling, a bright and welcoming living room opens onto the terrace. Vintage finds, carefully chosen lamps, African textiles, and traditional terracotta tiles come together to create a space filled with simplicity, character, and memories of the journeys that inspired it.

The kitchen

The kitchen

A real family kitchen, equipped for cooking together and serving long tables. This is often where the day begins and where it ends.

The bedrooms

A true family kitchen, made for cooking side by side and bringing everyone together around large shared meals. It’s where mornings begin, and where many evenings naturally come to a close.

The bathrooms

Four bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom, a fifth a private bathroom. The children's room has a WC and basin, and the poolside room enjoys a WC, basin and outdoor shower — five and a half bathrooms in all.

The outdoor spaces

The true luxury of Le Vieux Mas is lived outdoors: grounds to explore and shaded corners for every moment of the day.

The garden

It might be everyone's favourite part: a big Mediterranean garden where you end up spending most of your time.

Around the house, the garden unfolds into several living corners: the large south terrace where breakfast happens, shady nooks under the pines for the hot hours, and the pool a little further down, tucked away from view.

It smells of pine, rosemary and garrigue. Birdsong in the morning, cicadas winding down in the evening — and then just the clink of glasses. Long tables, kids running around, and nobody really wants to head inside for dinner.

  • The pool

A private outdoor salt-water pool, set below the garden, with an outdoor shower and sun loungers. Yours alone, open 24 hours in season.

  • The south terrace

The real HQ of the house: lunch, siestas, and candlelit dinners on mild evenings.

  • The shady corners

Under the pines and the pergola — somewhere to read or nap even in the heat of an August afternoon.
